Job summary

Samsara is hiring software engineers across Senior to Staff+ levels to define what ships next. This remote role invites candidates in the US to own technically complex areas and drive AI-enabled products that impact operations at scale.

You will partner with product, design, and customer teams to translate real-world problems into concrete technical plans, ship end-to-end features, and mentor engineers while upholding Samsara's core principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software design and development, including building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend to ship complete products.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-team or cross-org projects from inception through rollout, including managing ambiguity and delivering impact.
• Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products; ability to translate AI capabilities into customer-facing features.
• Strong communication skills, ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities.
• Design and ship full-stack features end to end across backend, frontend, and potentially mobile.
• Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to translate problems into technical plans and measurable outcomes.
• Build and scale data ingestion, APIs, and workflows behind AI-driven products.
• Mentor engineers and set quality standards across teams.
