Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Web Design Specialist to contribute to marketing through visual design across websites, emails, landing pages, and social media. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, preferred.
• Minimum five years recent experience in web design role.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD) and Sketch.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
• Strong visual, infographic thinking, with the ability to present data in compelling ways.
• Basic knowledge of the mortgage industry and Guild’s products and services.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages (HTML and CSS) as well as WordPress CMS.
• Basic knowledge of UX/UI.
• Basic knowledge of marketing automation and API.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively; clearly articulate ideas and possess a business understanding and awareness.
• Effective writing and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; delivering excellence in customer service.
• Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design digital materials for websites, email marketing, landing pages, social media.
• Apply conceptual thinking to create high-quality creative solutions across platforms.
• Develop sound creative concepts considering customers’ needs and Guild goals.
• Communicate ideas and design rationale to the design manager.
• Present concepts to stakeholders and obtain buy-in.
• Submit deliverables within deadlines and production time.
• Meet with internal customers to discuss requirements.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters and project managers.
• Work with front-end developers and assist with development on small projects.
• Guide colleagues in the creative process.
• Keep informed on latest creative and web trends.
• Manage design approval process.
• Ensure brand experience is consistent with guidelines.
• Create additional style and brand guidelines.
• Follow processes to name, file, and archive assets.
• Propose process improvements for asset adoption and efficiency.
• Design print materials as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
