Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer in the United States to deconflict with mission partners and provide technical support to a multi-discipline team. The role requires scripting in Python, SQL and web applications, plus strong cyber security expertise.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• 8+ years with BS/BA; 6+ years with MS/MA; 3+ years with PhD
• Proficiency in Linux environments (Debian, Kali, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Familiar with networking tech and terminology (IP addresses, TCP/UDP, firewalls)
• Experience configuring network devices (routers, switches)
• Experience performing network packet inspection and traffic analysis (Wireshark, TCPdump)
• Understanding of network/cyber security, penetration testing and information security practices
• Understanding of Linux network security tools (Metasploit, netcat, nmap)
• Experience scripting for development, automation, parsing data sets and network monitoring (bash, Perl, Python)
• Experience building virtual infrastructure (vSphere)
• Experience in design/implementation/procurement/maintenance of network infrastructure
• Ability to work with stakeholders and developers on joint project planning and execution
