Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Security Network Engineer to support national security missions in Chantilly, VA. You will work with a multi-discipline team, deconflict with mission partners, and apply scripting in Python and SQL to analyze networks and cyber threats.

The role demands TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, deep Linux and networking expertise, and the ability to partner with management on project planning and execution across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum 3 years with PhD
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Proficiency in Linux environments (Debian, Kali, Centos, Ubuntu)
• Familiarity with computer networking tech and terminology (IP addresses, TCP/UDP, firewalls)
• Experience configuring network devices (routers, switches)
• Experience performing network packet inspection, traffic analysis, performance characterization (Wireshark, TCPdump)
• Understanding of network/cyber security, penetration testing and information security practices
• Experience using scripting languages for development, automation, parsing data sets, and network monitoring (bash, Perl, Python)
• Experience building virtual infrastructure (e.g., vSphere)
• Experience in design, implementation, procurement or maintenance of network infrastructure
• Ability to work with stakeholders and developers on joint project planning and execution
