Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Cyber Intelligence team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing complex software systems that support national security and intelligence missions.

You will lead multiple teams, drive architecture decisions, and ensure quality through testing and reviews. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, with extensive experience in Java, C, and C++ in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• Twenty years experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance complex software systems for real-time analytics and intelligence operations.
• Lead and mentor development teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct software analysis, testing, and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate on system architecture and balance custom development with COTS/GOTS solutions.
• Resolve critical software issues and ensure robust integration of components.
