Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Web Developer with Expert-level accessibility expertise to join a mission-focused team in McLean, VA. The role requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph and hands-on work integrating accessibility across the SDLC, UI/UX design, and development workflows.

The position emphasizes testing across assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, ZoomText) and adherence to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with accessibility testing, with an ability to analyze complex technical issues related to accessibility and provide solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to document accessibility compliance efforts, findings, and recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794d), WCAG 2.1 AA (or higher) standards, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 39.2 standards.
• Demonstrated testing proficiency and expertise with assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and ZoomText.
• Demonstrated experience with User interfaces (UI) design and development.
• Demonstrated experience with principles of User Experience (UX) design with a focus on accessibility, UI development best practices for accessibility, and familiarity with design tools like Figma and Adobe XO.
• Demonstrated experience integrating digital accessibility into every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), to include requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating between design, engineering, and product stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with reviewing and auditing digital products for accessibility compliance and an understanding of how to enforce accessibility standards across different development workflows.
• Demonstrated experience or ability to provide training on accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices to development teams and other stakeholders.
