Job summary

Falls Technology is seeking an on-site Accessibility Engineer in McLean, VA to audit web apps for Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA, train teams, and build accessible interfaces. You will test with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and ZoomText, review designs in Figma or Adobe XD, and guide developers toward inclusive UX practices.

Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and U.S. citizenship are required; core hours are 9 AM to 3 PM with no travel.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required with Full Scope Polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Hands-on Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA experience.
• Experience testing with assistive technologies (JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver/ZoomText).
• UI development experience and accessibility UX work in design tools.

Responsibilities

Help make mission web applications usable by everyone. You'll audit, fix and build accessible interfaces, and teach development teams how to keep them that way.

What you'll do

• Test with assistive technology including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and ZoomText
• Build and remediate accessible user interfaces
• Review and shape accessible UX designs in Figma or Adobe XD
• Train developers and designers on accessibility practices

What you bring (required)

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• U.S. citizenship
• Hands-on Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA experience
• Testing with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and ZoomText
• UI development experience
• Accessibility UX work in Figma or Adobe XD
• Experience running accessibility audits and developer training

Nice to have
