Job summary

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is seeking a Resident Manager to drive revenue, manage risk, and lead a producing/non-producing branch. The role emphasizes client service, team development, ethics, and regulatory compliance across a regional market.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of financial advisory or branch management experience, holds applicable licenses, and can coach financial advisors while meeting branch sales and regulatory objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent education or experience.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor or equivalent branch management experience.
• Active Series 7, 8 (or 9 and 10), 66 (or 63 and 65) and 3 registrations (Series 31 acceptable if branch conducts managed futures business).
• Other licenses as required for role or by management.

Responsibilities

• Build a client base of high net worth households and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Manage client investment needs in line with Firm policies and requirements.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and industry developments relevant to clients and products.
• Recruit and develop Financial Advisors; translate competitive offerings to firm solutions.
• Lead branch sales, results, morale, and compliance with Firm standards.
• Direct reports include Financial Advisors and support staff; ensure branch objectives are met.
