Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Workers Compensation Adjuster to join the California team. This full-time, exempt role offers a hybrid option at the Roseville office or fully remote.

Responsibilities include managing moderate to complex, high-value casualty claims, leading investigations, and negotiating favorable outcomes while ensuring regulatory compliance and thorough documentation. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and coordinating with legal and underwriting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant experience.
• 5–10 years of claims handling experience.
• Must possess or obtain state adjuster licenses and CE credits.

Responsibilities

• Manage moderate to complex, high-value casualty claims with minimal supervision.
• Lead investigations, assess coverage, and prepare documentation including reservation of rights letters.
• Pursue subrogation and negotiate settlements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards and maintain detailed records.
• Set reserves and authorize payments within authority; support cross-functional teams and regulatory obligations.
• Mentor junior claim handlers and contribute to training and best practices.
