The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Adjuster for the California team. This Full-time/Exempt role can be hybrid at Roseville or fully remote, handling moderate to complex casualty claims with expert negotiation and investigation skills.

You will collaborate with legal counsel, underwriters, and specialists to ensure thorough claim evaluation and regulatory compliance while mentoring peers and maintaining documentation and data security standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–10 years of claims handling experience.
• Must possess or obtain state adjuster licenses and CE credits.
• Strong negotiation and strategic decision-making for high-exposure cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage moderate to high-value casualty claims with minimal supervision.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and manage litigation through to resolution.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies; prepare detailed reports.
• Set appropriate reserves and authorize payments within authority; assist with reserving accuracy.
• Mentor junior claim handlers and contribute to training programs.
