Job summary

An insurance service provider is seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage a caseload of claims from inception to resolution. The role is full-time and offers remote flexibility with some travel. Responsibilities include conducting investigations, managing reserves, authorizing medical care, and ensuring quality customer service. Candidates should have California Workers’ Compensation experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Qualifications

• WCCA or WCCP designation preferred.
• Self-Insured License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and direct investigations to determine AOE/COE.
• Establish initial reserves and maintain accurate reserves on all claims.
• Authorize medical care and manage all legal aspects of claims.
• Provide quality customer service to clients, producers, employers, and injured workers.
• Determine settlement values and move cases towards closure.

Overview

Location: San Diego, CA. This is a full-time, remote position that may require occasional travel to claim review meetings with clients. Compensation: $36.00 - $40.00 / hour. Department: Claims Administration & Adjusting.

We are seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage a caseload of workers’ compensation indemnity claims from inception to resolution, maintaining communication with clients, producers, and employers. This role requires diary management to ensure timely benefit administration and high-quality claims management.

This role is a full-time position and may require occasional travel to client claim review meetings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and direct investigations to determine AOE/COE, including 24-hour 3-point contact to EE, ER & MD
• Establish initial reserves in a timely manner and maintain accurate reserves based on probable outcome on all claims
• Authorize appropriate medical care, issue timely indemnity benefits and manage all legal aspects of all claims
• Provide quality customer service to clients, producers, employers and injured workers
• Determine settlement value and resolution while moving all cases towards appropriate closure
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
