Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join our municipal infrastructure team in the Richmond area. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of structural engineering experience across water/wastewater and building projects, plus strong project management and leadership skills.

You will lead structural project teams from concept through construction, mentor staff, and act as the primary structural contact for clients, prime PMs, and subconsultants.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience focused on environmental facilities and buildings.
• PE license and broad knowledge of building codes and structural standards.
• Experience with environmental projects and municipal infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural scope for environmental projects to schedule and budget.
• Lead project teams, prepare analyses, calculations, specs, and contract docs.
• Develop scopes, proposals, and task schedules with budget tracking.
• Provide technical direction on complex design tasks including foundations and liquid-retaining structures.
• Perform QA reviews and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with multi-discipline leads and subconsultants.
• Oversee site investigations, condition assessments, and structural repairs.
• Prepare engineering reports and repair strategies for deteriorated structures.
• Oversee construction-phase structural services and field observations.
