Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager in Newark, NJ. The role leads high‑value projects, drives marketing efforts, and mentors teams to deliver quality outcomes within schedule and budget.

You will collaborate with clients to develop project plans, manage risks, and pursue growth opportunities in targeted markets while upholding JMT's standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of experience in water/wastewater or civil infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineering License in New Jersey.
• Business development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead high‑value, complex water/wastewater projects in the New Jersey region.
• Drive marketing efforts and identify leads for growth.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; manage risks and subconsultants.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure quality and on‑time delivery.
• Mentor project teams and support regional strategic growth.
