Job summary

HDR’s Water Business Group is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead high-impact projects for Federal and municipal clients. You’ll mentor teams, guide technical delivery, and shape our water-sector approach while operating within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

You’ll focus on planning, design, and execution of complex programs, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality targets are met. A PE license and strong client development skills are essential in this senior role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
• 10 years related experience in civil infrastructure/water-wastewater.
• 5+ years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of large, multi-disciplinary water/wastewater projects for Federal and municipal clients.
• Oversee project pursuit activities for Federal clients including SF330 responses.
• Manage project delivery within Federal Dept of Interior contracts.
• Navigate regulatory environments and ensure compliance with Federal policies.
• Mentor internal teams and provide technical leadership across the water sector.
• Oversee project financials, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Drive client relationships, business development, and contract negotiations.
