Job summary

HDR’s Water Business Group seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-profile water infrastructure projects. You’ll act as a trusted client advisor and mentor internal teams, shaping technical and business approaches across the water sector.

You’ll manage multi-disciplinary programs, develop client relationships, and drive proposals, while guiding financial performance and resource allocation. HDR offers a strong employee-owned culture and wide project opportunities across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 10 years related engineering experience required.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience required.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• MS Office and MS Project experience; Access is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of large multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Oversee project execution balancing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and expand key client relationships and contribute to proposals.
• Direct and facilitate meetings with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Navigate regulatory environments representing HDR with agencies.
• Develop project documentation and engineering analyses with clarity.
• Manage project financials including budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project controllers and leadership on financial goals.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to staff.
• Support strategic planning and operational improvements across the group.
