Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Water Engineering to lead multi‑discipline projects in the Water Business Group. You will direct teams from development to close‑out, manage budgets, and maintain client relations across complex assignments.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, have 10+ years of related experience, and demonstrate leadership, business development, and strategic planning. HDR offers an employee‑owned culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
10 years related experience.
Minimum 5 years project management experience.
Requires professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng).
MS Office and MS Project experience; Access experience would be a plus.
Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
Active participation in an employee‑owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams through the project's lifecycle.
Manage large multidiscipline projects with high technical complexity.
Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
Establish and maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
Coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle and ensure on-schedule deliverables.
Track financials and adjust work to meet budget and schedule.
Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for project reviews.
Implement QA/QC procedures.
Supervise large project staffs and mentor junior Project Managers.
Perform other duties as needed.
