Job summary

Gresham Smith in Cincinnati seeks a Senior Project Manager (Engineer) to lead water and wastewater projects, including conveyance, storage, and treatment. The role involves directing design teams, coordinating multi-disciplinary efforts, and delivering high-quality reports and designs for public and private clients.

The ideal candidate holds a civil/environmental/related engineering degree, a valid Professional Engineer license, and substantial experience (15+ years) guiding complex projects

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• P.E. licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of project delivery, including pursuit strategy, client interviews, proposal support, project scoping, scheduling, team coordination, budget and change management, and quality assurance.
• Provide clear direction to multidisciplinary teams and promote collaboration to achieve outcomes.
• Independently lead and review planning and detailed design of water, wastewater conveyance systems, pump stations, and storage facilities.
• Execute design analyses including basis-of-design documentation, asset condition assessments, and system modeling.
• Serve as Project Manager, Engineer-of-Record, or Quality Control Reviewer to ensure technical integrity and schedule adherence.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships and pursue market growth opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or other related field

Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure
