Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Engineer in Lehi, UT to lead planning, evaluation and design of municipal and industrial water facilities. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality designs and strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, project delivery, and growth of responsibilities in a collaborative, industry-expert environment across AE2S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• 10+ years of experience with treatment facilities, pumping systems, conveyance infrastructure, and related utility systems.
• Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgment and aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, evaluation, and design of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Prepare and oversee engineering reports, technical memorandums, specifications, contract documents, cost estimates, permit applications, and construction plans
• Serve as a project engineer or technical lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting successful project delivery
• Collaborate with project managers to support scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning while maintaining a strong technical leadership role on projects
• Build relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders while contributing to proposals, interviews, and business development efforts
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, sharing knowledge and helping elevate team performance across the organization
