Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s Water Practice is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to lead municipal and industrial water projects. You will manage process design, mentor junior staff, interact with clients, and coordinate with regulatory agencies while expanding career growth in a national practice.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering and 7 years of related process engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree with FE exam and 7 years of related process engineering experience; EPC experience preferred.
Master's degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering and 6 years of related process engineering experience; EPC experience preferred.
Water or wastewater process engineering experience preferred (treatment systems, plant facilities, or industrial water utilities).
Ability to interact with a wide variety of clients and stakeholders; existing relationships desirable.
PE license preferred; strong knowledge of design codes and software tools.

Responsibilities

Lead process design and execution of municipal or industrial water and/or wastewater projects.
Perform day-to-day process design work, planning, and management of scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop project objectives and interact with clients on technical matters.
Support client development, proposals, and technical presentations; coordinate with regulators.
Expand career growth within a rapidly growing national water practice.
Mentor junior staff and communicate project needs to management.
Support design-build deliveries with construction/design-build group.
Other duties as assigned.
