Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s Water Practice seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to lead municipal or industrial projects in Kansas City. You will manage process design, planning, and execution, coordinating with clients and regulatory bodies as needed.

Preferred candidates have a PE license, strong design background, and proven leadership in large projects, with travel up to 25% and experience across water treatment and distribution systems.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in chemical/civil/environmental engineering with 7+ years of related process engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process design and execution of municipal or industrial water and/or wastewater treatment projects.
• Perform day-to-day process technical work, planning, and management of scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project objectives and interact with clients on technical matters as needed.
• Support client development, technical sales, proposals, and regulatory coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate project needs to management.
• Collaborate with Construction/Design-Build group on project delivery.
