Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED plus three years W/WW operations and maintenance experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operates water purification and transmission facilities or wastewater collection and treatment facilities as assigned.
• Monitors equipment, operates pumps, valves and control panels to regulate flow and treatment per standards.
• Monitors SCADA gauges and telemetry; records readings and shift logs.
• Performs maintenance and safety checks; reports problems beyond scope of authority.
• Collects and analyzes water/wastewater samples; conducts tests per approved methods.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas and participates in training and safety programs.
