Job summary

NTMWD in North Texas is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator II to monitor, operate and maintain facilities to ensure water quality and safety standards. Under supervision, you will collect samples, analyze data, and adjust processes using SCADA to keep operations compliant and efficient.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of wastewater experience, and a Texas TCEQ Class C license, plus a valid driver's license. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or trade certification preferred.
• Minimum two years of wastewater treatment experience or equivalent education/experience as determined by NTMWD.
• Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Class C Wastewater Treatment Operator License required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and adjust facility operations using observation, sampling, instrumentation, and SCADA.
• Plan, perform, and oversee maintenance procedures for facility assets.
• Maintain thorough logs and records; communicate abnormal conditions and needed repairs to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and incidents are reported as required.
• Assist with energy, water quality, and compliance objectives across the facility.
