Job summary

American States Utility Services, Inc. is seeking a Treatment Facilities Superintendent to lead the operation and maintenance of water and/or wastewater treatment systems on military installations.

You will supervise staff, develop work plans, manage costs, and ensure safety and quality across facilities. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, coordinating daily duties, maintaining CMMS-driven maintenance plans, and communicating with officials while delivering reliable utility service

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree is desirable.
• Extensive experience in management, operation, and maintenance of water and/or wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations for water and/or wastewater systems.
• Oversee O&M of treatment facilities, wells, pumps, meters, and related equipment.
• Coordinate daily operations and create preventive maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare budgets, track costs, and oversee contracting activities.
• Communicate with officials, staff, customers, and managers.
• Manage safety programs and oversee training and documentation.
• Monitor and analyze water quality, SCADA data, and reports.
