Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, seeks a Mega Projects Estimator - Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants to develop detailed quantity takeoffs for complex infrastructure projects and support bid strategies.

You will ensure materials meet project design criteria and collaborate with sales, engineering and design teams to deliver value. Collaboration, constructability input, and compliance with regulations are essential as you support designbuild efforts and provide cost insights to guide project

Qualifications

5+ years of estimation experience in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure.
Experience producing detailed material quantity takeoffs from plans and specs.
Strong understanding of civil and mechanical infrastructure systems.
Experience with designbuild, value engineering, or complex bid strategies preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop accurate quantity takeoffs for highly complex infrastructure projects.
Support designbuild delivery with material, constructability, and cost insights.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and design teams to guide bid strategies.
Prepare timely, accurate customer quotations and assist in scope meetings.
Mentor estimators and provide ongoing training to the estimating team.
