HDR, a leading engineering firm, seeks an Area Water and Wastewater Utility Planning Lead in California. You will plan, lead, and manage utility planning projects for federal, state, and local agencies, delivering technical products and capital improvement recommendations.

You will mentor staff and help win new work, building HDR's regional presence in the water sector. The role requires a Master’s degree is preferred, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and at least 10 years of related

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
• 10 years related experience in water/wastewater utilities
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage utility planning projects for federal, state and local agencies
• Oversee large or complex projects with significant technical scope
• Deliver technical products meeting client expectations—manage workload, schedule and budget
• Prepare technical reports, master plans, hydraulic models, GIS analyses
• Identify business development opportunities and lead client interviews in the region
• Mentor junior staff and ensure quality assurance across projects
• Engage in professional organizations to advance HDR standards
