Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead water, wastewater, and groundwater projects across multiple offices. Responsibilities include planning, design, construction, and project management of municipal infrastructure and water treatment systems.

The candidate should have 10+ years of relevant experience, a PE license (Illinois preferred or obtainable within 6 months), and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering and PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant water/wastewater experience.
• Illinois/Indiana/Michigan/Wisconsin water/wastewater network knowledge.
• Regional expertise in water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Excellent design leadership and client relationship abilities.
• MS/PhD in related engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver water, wastewater, and groundwater projects across Water offices.
• Plan, design, manage construction, and provide project oversight.
• Develop intake structures, treatment plants, storage and conveyance systems.
• Perform hydraulic modeling, asset management, and risk/resiliency tasks.
• Mentor staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support marketing opportunities and respond to RFPs/RFQs.
• Prepare master planning reports for grants and loans.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and CAD disciplines.
