Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead and deliver water, wastewater, and groundwater projects across our Water offices. You will manage planning, design, construction and project delivery for drinking water, distribution, storage and treatment facilities.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering, 10+ years of experience, a PE license (Illinois preferred or obtainable within 6 months), and regional water/wastewater expertise.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil,Mechanical,Chemical or Environmental Eng.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• PE license; Illinois PE preferred or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Illinois/Indiana/Michigan/Wisconsin water/wastewater connections.
• Regional expertise in water supply, treatment, storage or distribution.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Excellent design team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of drinking water projects, including design of intake structures and treatment plants.
• Prepare master planning reports for grants and loans.
• Act as SME, present papers and lead market-specific discussions.
• Operate within the One Water paradigm.
• Incorporate smart water systems, automation and ML into designs.
• Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation for plans and specs.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural teams.
• Support marketing, RFP/RFQ responses and client development.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
