Tom Trese Networking LLC is assisting a northern New Jersey engineering firm based in Parsippany or Sparta with a Water Resources Design Engineer (Water or Wastewater) role. Hybrid work flexibility is offered, with a base salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 plus a discretionary year-end bonus.

The role focuses on design and engineering of water/wastewater facilities, regulatory coordination, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, requiring 5–10 years of experience and a PE license or near-term

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on water and wastewater design experience; productive from start.
• PE license or close to it (within 6–12 months).
• Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations and federal standards: EPA, CWA, SDWA.
• AutoCAD proficiency and ability to produce standalone reports and specs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and engineer water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, storage, distribution and collection systems.
• Conduct feasibility and planning studies under EPA and NJDEP guidelines.
• Prepare technical documentation: calculations, reports, specs, cost estimates and contracts.
• Coordinate regulatory approvals: NJPDES permits, TWAs, and related permits.
• Perform site investigations and field assessments for design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with structural, civil and MEP teams and vendors.
• Mentor junior staff on technical work and regulatory knowledge.
