Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced construction oversight professional to manage personnel on large projects within a defined area. You will ensure work aligns with plans and contracts, identify structural deficiencies, and prepare progress reports while guiding junior staff.

Travel is possible (up to 10%), with a focus on timely, cost-conscious delivery and safe site practices. This role requires a strong command of construction methods and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
• 14 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel 10% or less.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction personnel on large projects within the assigned area.
• Ensure construction work matches plans and specifications.
• Identify deficiencies in constructed structures and report them.
• Review contract terms and conditions.
• Ensure timelines, costs, and materials comply with contract terms.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
• Prepare reports (e.g., monthly progress) and maintain daily logs.
