Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks a Construction Inspector to perform onsite inspections to ensure the project complies with contract requirements and permits. You will inspect pipelines, water mains, sewers, lift stations, and treatment plants, and advise on variances from approved plans.

Qualified candidates have a college degree or 10+ years of field experience, a California driver license, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• College degree or 10+ years of related field experience.
• Valid California Class C driver's license required.
• Experience with construction inspection and field testing.
• Familiarity with Caltrans/Greenbook standards and project submittals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pipelines, water mains, sewers, lift stations, and treatment plants onsite.
• Advise Resident Engineer or Agency PM on variances from plans.
• Take material samples, prepare specimens, and assist field tests.
• Verify materials via certificates of compliance and shop drawings.
• Maintain inspection records, diaries, and photo logs.
• Oversee water/wastewater infrastructure construction and safety compliance.
