Job summary

BKF Construction is seeking a Construction Inspector to perform onsite inspections ensuring compliance with contract requirements and permits. The role emphasizes thorough documentation and clear communication with the project team.

Responsibilities include inspecting pipelines, water mains, sewers, lift stations, and treatment facilities; reviewing submittals, RFIs and CCOs; taking material samples, conducting field tests, and maintaining daily diaries and logs.

Qualifications

• College degree or minimum 5 years’ work experience in related field.
• Valid California Class C driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.

• Verifies acceptability of material incorporated into the project by Certificates of Compliance, shop drawings, and test reports.
• Maintains material and inspection records.
• Maintains a daily diary, photo log, contract item quantities.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Licensure, or Certification Required

• College degree or minimum 5 years’ work experience in related field

Minimum Experience Required

• 4 + years of experience in the supervision or inspection of engineering construction work including reading and interpreting complex construction plans and specifications, OR
• 5 years’ work experience in related trade/field
• The typical base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location, hourly wage
