Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc. in Texas seeks a Project Engineer III to lead capital improvement projects across East Texas.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions, justify projects, forecast budgets, schedule activities, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering, a Texas PE license or ability to obtain within six months, and 6+ years of water and/or wastewater project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering required.
• PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 6+ years experience in water/wastewater project management and budgeting.
• PM experience; PMI certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for capital projects from design through commissioning.
• Manage third-party design firms and contract documents.
• Ensure design concepts meet capacity, performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Review water/wastewater treatment and conveyance designs.
• Lead capital planning, master studies, and performance analyses.
