Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in construction/maintenance work involving plumbing, water distribution or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License; CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs water mains, service connections, meters, hydrants, and backflow devices.
• Operates equipment used in construction, maintenance and repair of water systems.
• Performs manual digging, pipe installation, leak repair, and material hauling.
• Checks supplies, tolls and equipment for use at work sites.
• Transports, loads and unloads equipment and materials.
• Maintains equipment condition and performs basic maintenance tasks.
• Completes forms, reports and work orders; maintains records.
• Communicates via telephone/radio and responds to service requests.
• Responds to routine information requests from staff and public.
