Job summary

The City of Anaheim is seeking a Water Systems Operations Superintendent to supervise the operation of water treatment facilities, reservoirs, pumping stations, and related infrastructure within the Water Field Operations Division of the Public Utilities Department.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff and activities, implementing policies, monitoring SCADA systems, and ensuring compliance with regulations while maintaining efficient operations and service quality.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in water production and treatment operations with supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of SCADA, water quality, and treatment processes.
• Experience with budget development and control for water services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organization, staffing, and operations for water treatment facilities.
• Develop and implement goals, policies, and priorities for water operations.
• Direct, monitor, and review work plans and staff performance.
• Supervise SCADA controls and maintenance of the water system and facilities.
• Plan budgets and forecast resources for staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Collaborate with other divisions and outside agencies on projects.
