Job summary

Princeton Hydro in Trenton, NJ seeks an experienced project manager/water resources engineer to lead multidisciplinary civil and water resources projects, including hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, design, and client engagement. Hybrid work arrangement available in NJ.

PE license required; 5+ years experience and a bachelor’s in civil or environmental engineering are essential. The role emphasizes collaboration, sustainability, and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects balancing technical execution, planning, and delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities; writing proposals, technical reports, and presenting to clients.
• Excellent time management for simultaneous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Find solutions for engineering problems or conflicts and assume project ownership.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering projects, balancing technical responsibilities with planning, resource coordination, client engagement, and delivery.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, estimates, sign and seal documents, and schedule critical paths.
• Perform stormwater management reviews, inspections, and summary reports.
• Attend Planning Board meetings as an expert witness for the board and objectors.
• Perform construction oversight for restoration projects.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Other duties as requested.
