Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior integrated water resources planner or engineer to join our Water Resources team. You will lead medium- to large-scale planning and environmental compliance projects for the federal government, directing teams and coordinating with agencies and stakeholders.

The role requires a strong background in water supply, flood risk management, coastal storm risk, environmental restoration, and watershed-scale feasibility studies, with excellent writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience with environmental impact issues and permit processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects for the federal government.
• Prepare and analyze compliance documents.
• Direct work of others to complete studies, documents, and reports.
• Demonstrate extensive public participation and interagency coordination.
• Perform other duties as needed.
