HDR in Houston, TX, is seeking a senior integrated water resources planner or engineer to join our Water Resources team. You will lead complex planning and environmental projects for the federal government, shaping water supply, flood risk management, and coastal resilience.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a track record of coordinating with agencies and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Active participant in our employee‑owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects on behalf of the federal government.
• Prepare, plan and analyze compliance documents.
• Direct work of others in completion of required studies, documents and reports.
• Demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning and programming experience.
• Perform other duties as needed.
