Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior integrated water resources planner or engineer to join our Water Resources team. You will lead planning and feasibility studies for federal projects, focusing on water supply, flood risk management, environmental restoration, and coastal storm risk issues.

This role requires strong leadership, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to coordinate with agencies and stakeholders across large-scale watersheds and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
• 10+ years of technical/field experience in complex environmental planning projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Excellent conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities.
• Experience handling environmental impact issues, permits, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct medium- to large-size planning and environmental compliance projects for the federal government.
• Prepare, plan and analyze compliance documents.
• Direct work of others in completion of required studies, documents and reports.
• Demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning and programming experience.
• Perform other duties as needed.
