Job summary
Stantec in Virginia Beach/Williamsburg is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead stormwater and ecosystem restoration design efforts within the Environmental Services group. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop fee proposals, and ensure delivery within PMF frameworks and contractual requirements.
The role requires a PE and 9+ years in water resources, with knowledge of Virginia regulations and the ability to travel locally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Civil/Water Resources or closely related field is required; master's preferred.
- PE licensure is required; Virginia DEQ certs preferred.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in water resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead project orders and supervise interdisciplinary teams to meet needs.
- Provide strong project management to align with PMF.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Develop fee proposals for various project sizes.
- Oversee stormwater design, grading, and hydraulic studies.
- Lead design of stormwater facilities and flood protection strategies.
- Coordinate with clients and leadership on budgets and staffing.
