RK&K is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead water resources tasks in Virginia Beach, VA. You will support stormwater management, MS4, coastal resilience, and drainage design for municipal and transportation projects.

Responsibilities include designing hydraulic systems, reviewing plans, presenting at client meetings, mentoring staff, and preparing technical reports. Requires 7+ years' municipal experience and a VA PE license or reciprocity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years' experience supporting municipal projects.
• Professional Engineer license in Virginia or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of drainage design and stormwater management.
• Proficient with MicroStation, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, AutoCAD, Civil3D, GIS.
• Strong written and verbal communication for client-facing work.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver stormwater management strategies for municipal and transportation projects.
• Design and review drainage systems and hydraulic models.
• Present project status at client meetings and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, surveyors, contractors and officials.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare studies, technical reports and presentations.
• Conduct field investigations and data collection.
