Job summary

LVI Associates on behalf of a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm seeks a senior Water Resources Engineer to lead Florida-based projects. This role involves managing water resources, water supply planning, and water reuse initiatives.

Responsibilities include studies, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, reports, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. PE license and 15+ years of experience required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of water resources experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience managing medium to large-scale projects with budgets, schedules, quality standards, and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with mentoring staff.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience delivering projects within scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Familiarity with water supply, wastewater, and reuse systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver water resources, water supply planning, and water reuse projects throughout Florida.
  • Perform water resources studies, feasibility evaluations, integrated water supply plans, One Water initiatives, conservation programs, and reuse studies.
  • Analyze water supply and demand projections, conduct alternatives analyses, and document findings.
  • Apply hydraulic, hydrologic, and hydrogeologic modeling tools for pipelines, open channels, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, wellfields, infiltration systems, and water management systems.
  • Prepare hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, technical reports, and planning documents.
  • Support water supply planning, demand management, feasibility studies, and alternatives analyses for projects of varying complexity.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, planning, and scientific teams.
  • Participate in client meetings, project coordination, and travel as required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
