We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to bring innovative thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative energy to a growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, from designing new treatment plants to rehabilitating aging systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction of water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Develop distribution and collection systems, including pipelines, pump stations, and storage tanks.
- Manage facility upgrades, rehabilitations, process optimizations, and greenfield developments.
- Collaborate with engineers, EITs, CAD designers, and consultants.
You will participate in technical and project leadership roles, with opportunities for growth into project management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform or manage process designs and hydraulic modeling.
- Prepare technical reports, permitting documents, and engineering analyses.
- Lead or support multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of delivery.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and internal departments.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in civil/environmental engineering focusing on water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Proven knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, pump systems, and conveyance infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and maintain documentation.
- Proactive, collaborative, and self-motivated approach.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
- Knowledge of water quality regulations at state and federal levels.
- Experience working with public sector clients.
