Job summary

McCormick Taylor in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead and supervise complex stormwater management and roadway drainage projects within our Water Resources Department.

The role requires 10+ years in hydrology and hydraulics, a BS in civil engineering, and PA PE licensure, with strong communication and writing skills; hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics engineering, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design.
• BS degree in civil engineering, or closely related fields.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania (PA).
• Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic calculation methods; DOT Stormwater design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drainage and stormwater management designs and plans.
• Collaborate with design team, environmental staff and regulatory agencies for delivery and permitting.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to junior staff.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Active involvement with development of technical and cost proposals.
• Assign tasks, coordinate work and mentor supporting staff.
• Provide QA/QC of work for technical accuracy.
