Job summary

McCormick Taylor seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Resources Department in Harrisburg, PA. You will lead complex stormwater and roadway drainage projects, supervising staff and coordinating with clients and regulators to ensure compliant design and permitting.

The role requires 10+ years in hydrology/hydraulics, a PA PE license, and proficiency in CAD/MicroStation. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and flexible hybrid/work schedules.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics engineering and stormwater management.
• BS degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drainage and stormwater designs and plans for complex projects.
• Lead and supervise design teams; mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and internal teams for permitting and delivery.
• Provide QA/QC of technical work and assist in proposals.

Position Summary

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our growing Water Resources Department. This position is an opportunity to work on, manage and supervise complex stormwater management/roadway drainage design projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drainage and stormwater management designs and plans.
• Collaborate with our design team, environmental staff and regulatory agencies to support the delivery and permitting for various projects
• Provide mentoring and oversight to junior staff
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies
• Active involvement with the development of technical and cost proposals
• Assign tasks to, coordinates work, and mentors supporting staff
• Provide QA/QC of work for technical accuracy

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics engineering, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design
• BS degree in civil engineering, or closely related
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania
• DOT Stormwater design and permitting experience preferred
• Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic calculation methods
• Experience using Microstation or AutoCAD
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suit e
