Job description

Seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead hydraulic design, manage teams, and drive business development within a growing transportation-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a seller-doer, developing new and existing client relationships
• Lead hydraulic design for stream crossings, drainage, and erosion control
• Manage hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) for bridges and culverts
• Oversee preparation of MOA, CLOMR, and LOMR submittals
• Manage team workload, schedules, and staff development
• Lead project scoping, fee development, and contract negotiations
• Support proposals, marketing efforts, and public presentations
• Provide QA/QC oversight and mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (or related)
• 10+ years of progressive hydraulic design experience
• PE license (NC or ability to obtain quickly)
• Strong experience with HEC-RAS and FEMA regulations
• Background in drainage, stormwater, and erosion control design
