Ramboll in Americas is seeking a Technical Manager, Water Infrastructure to lead technical linear infrastructure designs for municipal and industrial clients, managing design concepts, calculations, and construction documents. The role includes bid and construction phase services, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development.

The position requires a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater design, strong regulatory

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations.
• Knowledge and experience with major national/industrial design codes, standards and best practices.
• PE license in VA, DC and/or MD with ability to obtain multiple licenses via reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients, including planning, execution and close-out.
• Assisting in the development of design concepts and criteria, analysis and design approach/methodologies, alternative design evaluations and constructability reviews.
• Preparation of detailed design calculations; engineering computation/technical reports; construction plans and specifications for projects with medium to high levels of complexity; QA/QC and value engineering reviews.
• Performing bid phase and construction phase services.
• Supporting business development proposal creation, project estimating and planning.
• Coordination and mentoring of technical staff and oversight of project teams, in collaboration with other Project Managers and those with People Management responsibilities.
• Involvement in technical societies and associations to stay current with engineering standards and practices and emerging technologies
