Job summary

Ramboll in Americas is seeking an experienced civil/environmental engineer to lead municipal and industrial water/wastewater infrastructure designs, including gravity and pressure pipelines, and trenchless rehabilitation. You will drive design concepts, perform complex calculations, and coordinate QA/QC across project teams.

You will also support business development, project estimation, and planning, while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience with water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design, including gravity and pressure pipelines and trenchless rehabilitation.
• Proficiency with federal, state and local environmental regulations as they apply to municipal/industrial clients.
• Knowledge of major design codes, standards, guidelines and best practices for complex structures and projects.
• PE license in VA, DC and/or MD with reciprocity eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients.
• Assisting in development of design concepts, analysis and methodologies, and constructability reviews.
• Preparing detailed design calculations, reports, plans and specs for medium/high complexity projects; QA/QC and value engineering reviews.
• Performing bid phase and construction phase services.
• Supporting business development, project estimation and planning.
• Coordinating and mentoring technical staff and overseeing project teams in collaboration with Project Managers and People Management.
• Staying current with engineering standards and practices through involvement in technical societies.
