Job summary

Ramboll Americas seeks an experienced civil engineer to lead municipal and industrial infrastructure design across water, wastewater and stormwater projects. The role involves concept development, detailed design, QA/QC, and coordination of multi-disciplinary teams.

With 8+ years of experience and a VA/DC/MD PE license, you will navigate regulatory requirements while contributing to business development and client proposals. This on-site role spans Mid-Atlantic offices, including Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of major codes, standards and best practices for complex structures.
• Proficiency in Federal, State, and local environmental regulations.
• PE license in VA, DC and/or MD, with ability to obtain reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical linear infrastructure designs and prepare contract documents for municipal and industrial clients.
• Develop design concepts, analysis methodologies and constructability reviews.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, engineering reports, construction plans and specs; QA/QC and value engineering.
• Perform bid and construction phase services, and support project estimating.
• Assist in business development, proposals and planning.
• Coordinate and mentor technical staff and project teams.
• Engage in technical societies to stay current with standards and technologies.
