Job summary

Mitrelli Group seeks a senior Project Manager – Water Infrastructure to lead a major water project on site in Angola. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and consultants, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality align with contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree and 10+ years’ experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with fluency in Portuguese and advanced English. Willingness to relocate to Angola is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven PM/leadership experience on complex water/infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of construction management, planning, cost control, contracts, variations and claims.
• Experience in Owner’s Representative or Client-side roles is desirable.
• Portuguese and advanced English fluency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a major water infrastructure project from mobilisation to handover.
• Define and oversee project execution strategy across scope, schedule, budget, quality and HSE.
• Coordinate activities across civil works, water treatment, pipelines and pumping stations.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, consultants and supervision teams.
• Act as Owner’s Representative, protecting client interests and ensuring contractual alignment.
• Monitor progress, costs, risks, interfaces and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee reporting, cost control, variations, claims and contract management.
