CSG Talent is partnering with a leading global, employee-owned engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the continued growth of its Water & Wastewater business across North Carolina and the wider Southeast.

This role offers ownership of municipal projects, development of long-term client relationships, and mentorship of engineering teams, combining technical delivery with commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina.
• 15+ years delivering water and wastewater projects.
• 5+ years working with NC or neighbouring states clients.
• Proven project management with technical delivery, financial oversight and client management.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Manage projects from planning through construction within budgets and schedules.
• Develop and maintain relationships with municipal utilities and public agencies in the Carolinas.
• Support business development including proposals, pricing and pursuing new work.
• Provide technical oversight and leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify new opportunities and growth.

CSG Talent is partnering with a leading global, employee-owned engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the continued growth of its Water & Wastewater business across North Carolina and the wider Southeast.

This is an opportunity for an established water infrastructure professional to take ownership of significant municipal projects, develop long-term client relationships and play a key role in expanding an established regional business.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical project delivery experience with commercial awareness, client development capabilities and a passion for mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, transmission and distribution systems, wastewater collection, pump stations and storage facilities.
• Manage complex projects from initial planning and design through construction, ensuring successful delivery against budgets, schedules and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with municipal utilities, public agencies and other infrastructure clients across the Carolinas.
• Support business development initiatives, including proposals, project pursuits, pricing strategies and securing new work.
• Provide technical oversight and leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers, supporting wider team growth.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify new opportunities and contribute to the strategic growth of the Water business.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence in North Carolina.
• 15+ years of experience delivering water and wastewater engineering projects, ideally with a strong emphasis on linear infrastructure and conveyance.
• At least 5 years of experience working with clients across North Carolina or neighbouring states.
• Proven project management experience, including technical delivery, financial oversight and client management.
• Established municipal client relationships and experience supporting business development activities.
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring capabilities.
